Hello there and welcome to my social media blog. Today’s story had me as skeptical as you are so I decided to do a bit of research and I’ll tell you what I found out.
Even if you don’t know what WordPress is, and don’t use it to publish your content on the internet, you have probably visited a site that uses this service to publish its content. Probably even in the last twenty-four hours!
Matt Mullenweg is the CEO of WordPress which is an open source online content management system that powers an impressive 25% of all websites today! He is also the CEO of Automattic, the company that provides WordPress users with a variety of services and products that help make their blogs look and work better.

His four-hundred-person team works mostly from home in forty-three countries and relies mostly on an internal blogging platform for communication and collaboration to avoid the use of email.
In his company, writing is one of the most important skills he looks for in his employees. His reason for this is that when one is able to communicate and express himself effectively in writing, they think better and handle all other aspects of life in the same way.
This story is just an example of many more that have succeeded by using social media for their businesses. You don’t necessarily have to start the next WordPress or google, start small. Even the most successful of businesses started as small ones then expanded over time.
There are a couple of ways which you can make money from social media including-:

1.      Displaying advertisements on your site for businesses and other companies.

If you have a blog, any website or even a social media account like Facebook or twitter, you can earn from this at the comfort of your home. With a large following or audience, businesses will pay good money for you to advertise their products and services on your account. Some even pay for endorsements alone.

2.      Using Google Ad or Word Ad services on your site.

This is another easy way to earn money online without too much effort. Google Ad requires you to have a site and it should have been at least six months. You then sign-up and have a bank account where your money will be deposited as you earn it. Word Ad is a similar program for WordPress users.

3.      Selling various products and services on your website.

If you are a business, you can sell your products online from the comfort of your home and have a delivery service deliver the products to your customers i.e. FedEx, Posta, DHL etc.
You don’t have to be a big business, you can sell products from doing what you love i.e. baking cakes, making jam, cooking etc.
You can also provide services like, web designing, network cabling, just about any skill you have can be turned into a business.
These are just some of the major ways you can earn from your business, and with a bit of hard work, you might just be the next social media billionaire.
